God's Word always finds a way!
I want to remind you of this statement by Paul shared with Timothy inspired by the Holy Spirit and included as part of the Word of God.
For that [Gospel] I am suffering affliction and even wearing chains like a criminal.
But the Word of God is not chained or imprisoned! (2 Timothy 2:8 AMPC)
Paul shared that though He was suffering and imprisoned for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ facing the end of his life his final assessment was not one of defeat but of victory. He emphatically tells us there is NOTHING that can keep God's Word from going forth. I want us to share in his confidence that whatever we may be facing God's Word is indomitable, unconquerable, impregnable, and unshakeable! His truth and purposes always find a way.
If you have ever had a plumber come to your home because of a leak they may tell you as a warning that water always finds its lowest level. If you have standing water in your bathroom or under a sink it will find a way down through your house and a way through. God's Word is like this, it always finds a way through. If social media starts taking our messages down, and government institutions look on God's people as a threat, and lockdowns and restrictions persist in their attempts to keep us apart, God's Holy and Precious Word will continue to go forward. God's Kingdom will be established and Jesus' church will be built and the gates of hell will not prevail against it! Since we can have this confidence that God's Word cannot be contained or imprisoned, we can move beyond frustration perhaps that because of our current circumstance there is nothing we can do to reach our neighbors.
We can look with great expectation of what God is going to miraculously do to make a way for Jesus to be revealed in our midst! All God asks us to do is to join Him wherever and however He wants to do it! Joining God happens when we are obedient to God's Word stepping out in faith willing to share His good news and listen to the Holy Spirit's prompting seeing where He wants us to participate in His great work of salvation. God's direction may lead us to share His Word in new, dynamic, and creative ways in places we never expected, or perhaps He will guide us to get back to simpler ways of sharing to people we have known or known of for some time. Either way, God wins and when we step out boldly in faith and listen to Him, we get to participate in what He is doing!
